![]() You can always just hit 'R' and restart for a clean run. Later you might work out how to pull things back from the brink but for now it's not a thing to worry about. It doesn't matter if you screw up and get overwhelmed. If you're pushing time just treat every run as mostly unimportant. It isn't like Mario.It's hard to give much advice on it when it's just a mindset thing. A lot of new players seem to want to fight against momentum and make a lot of twitch movements in the air, but this isn't usually the best idea in Dustforce. It's possible, but takes a lot of practice. It's also very hard to control your areal momentum with precision. This game really is largely about learning the powerful but complicated controls. It's not just something you can get the hang of right away like in pretty much every other platformer. Most of the early game will be like learning cords on a guitar or combos in a fighting game. I was probably on the last level in the game before the controls even started to feel intuitive. Also, and hour is basically nothing in this game. ![]() ![]() That should take care of a lot of perceived imprecision. Third, you can't do a dash off of a wall run if you are still holding into the wall. ![]() Second, you can't jump immediately if you land from a high height. First, you can't down dash until you reach the apex of your jump. There are 3 main problems new players usually have that you have to remember.
